When I changed from the stock HDD to a SSD in my PS3 many years ago, the difference was immediate and profound. Even starting the system and using the menu was snappier. Slightly off-topic but the PS4 Pro really did not feel like a Pro the first time I turned it on. It REALLY needed that SSD to feel smooth and modern to use.
