Web17 aug. 2010 · One thing I noticed with replacement senders. Some don't have the same tube depth and angle in the tank as the origional, so you probably can't use the last bit of gas. Also, some tend to be taller on the outside, coming up farther before it makes the 90° turn. Make sure you don't crush and crack it when tightening the gas tank straps. Web1 dag geleden · Nice, thanks! I will spray the bolts now while I wait for the new sender. I'm pretty sure the sender will come with a new gasket, there was one in the picture. I'm hoping this will eliminate the gas smell I've had during hard braking recently. Also, will take this time to replace the fuel filter because there is a big chunk of something in there.
