You can hide it a little bit by dying the fretboard darker, or even just a little oil or hard wax.

Vinegar has lots of unknown chemicals that may make proper refinishing impossible or next to impossible. Clean using only water or warm water and dry immediately. Frequent dusting is recommended. Web18 dec. 2014 · The way I remove inlays is to drill a 1/8" hole in the center of the inlay making sure not to go too deep and hit the fret board and then use a pick and pry up on the inlay thus pulling it out. When you reintall the new inlays you will need to radius them to the fret board and thats a whole new ball of wax.

I started with a raw neck, sanded, rounded edges, dressed frets, put the stickers on and then laquered over the top and buffed (fret board and headstock only) I then finished the back of the neck with Sam Maloof's oil/poly blend. WebIn inlays I’ve done in the past, I have found this step to be incredibly important. If you try to take off too much at a time, the Dremel bit will pull and you will end up going outside of where you’re trying to route. So, even though the routes are not very deep, you still really need to creep up on the depth, taking just a little at a time.

For dots, you can just drill a hole to size of the dot you have and glue the dot in (or just fill the newly drilled hole with clay or something like that).
