The 1.1 gives you what you need and not a whole lot else—but it also has a price that’s very tough to beat. Mechanical disc brakes and a Selle Royal saddle offset things like the alloy fork and no-name (well, technically not “no-name,” but close) wheels. WebIf the dirt trails are firm packed and easy like rail to trails, canal towpaths and decently maintained fire roads then either CTY models will be great. The 1.1 is great price for a reliable, practical and reasonably light and efficient bike. WebAside from the frame, the big difference between these two is that the CTY e2.1 uses a mid drive motor, whereas the Gen e1.1 uses a hub motor. The Gen e1.1 looks like a lower budget alternative to Tern’s cargo bikes. One comment I’ve seen about those is that the low-stance frame with 20-inch wheels feels very different from a normal bike.
